- It's a purely symbolic move as the vote is non-binding, but Scotland's parliament just voted 90-34 to reject the Brexit process. In last summer's national Brexit vote, 62% of Scots had voted to remain in the EU.
- The vote, however, had been called by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, and may be seen as laying the groundwork for a 2nd referendum on Scottish independence.
