- Sinclair Broadcast Group (NASDAQ:SBGI +3%) and Frontier Communications (FTR -0.9%) have come to a new carriage deal, ending a blackout that started with the new year.
- That blackout notably denied the Tennis Channel to hundreds of thousands of homes that Frontier picked up after buying Verizon FiOS systems in Florida, Texas and California.
- The deal covers Sinclair's Tennis Channel as well as the company's broadcast stations in Seattle and Portland, Ore., as well as several markets where Frontier has launched subscription video services.
