- Two years after launching, Sling TV (NASDAQ:DISH) is expanding the trial of its cloud TV video recorder to users of Android devices and Amazon Fire TV.
- It's also promoting a free trial of its base channel tier this weekend, and existing customers will be offered free trials of HBO and Starz.
- The cloud DVR launched in beta for Roku users in December. It will come to Apple TV at some future point, the company says.
- The service allows subscribers to record up to 100 hours of programming at no extra charge -- but only content that has been licensed to participate in the program.
