Regulators discuss firm's SIFI label

• The Financial Stability Oversight Council met late on Thursday afternoon to review its designation of a nonbank firm as "too big to fail," according to a statement from the Treasury Department.
• While it didn't name the firm, only three nonbank companies have been labeled as SIFIs to date: American International Group (NYSE:AIG), Prudential Financial (NYSE:PRU) and MetLife (NYSE:MET).
