- Gap (NYSE:GPS) selects Mark Breitbard as President and CEO of Banana Republic, effective in early May.
- Breitbard most recently was CEO of Gymboree from 2013 until early this year; during 2010-13, he held leadership positions for Gap North America, and was chief merchandising and creative officer of Old Navy in 2009-10.
- Breitbard will replace Andi Owen, who left Gap last month.
