Italian PM Monti hits the tape, telling Dow Jones a majority of the EU states favor common eurobonds. Unfortunately, tweets ZH, the ones that oppose them are the ones that pay the bills.

A humorous take on the common eurobond question (especially if you're a fan of Lord of the Rings). Goodness knows, the European mess needs some humor to help make it tolerable.

Sigh...this is the equivalent of the Greeks saying they'd like to stay in the euro (without paying for it)...or the far right in the US saying they want lower taxes and the same military/ss spending (without paying for it)...or the far left wanting mortgage relief (for loans people signed up for and now don't want to pay for). Sheesh. I'd like a coupla hundred billion dollars, please....

No, they are in favor of a modified form of a Euro-bond, an investment fond. Even the opposition in Germany is against the Euro-bonds as suggested by Hollande and Monti.

Why stop there? How about Globo-bonds?
Shouldn't we buy a PC for some guy in Congo?
BTW, how's the "Egyptian IPO" going for FaceBook?
I hear the Muslim Brotherhood FB site is calling for
riots if their candidate loses June 16-17 in the
runoff. Where have I heard those dates before?
Oh yeah, the Greek referendum on EU membership!
