  • UK's Parliament has released internal Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) emails that some lawmakers say back up the allegations that executives including CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave some developers special access to data and that it considered charging developers for such access.
  • The body put out about 250 pages worth of emails today, documents that came out of a lawsuit filed against Facebook by Six4Three LLC. Most of the documents in the case are under seal by order of a California judge.
  • The documents indicate how Facebook recognized financial value of user data, including this from Zuckerberg: “I’ve been thinking about platform business model a lot this weekend … if we make it so devs can generate revenue for us in different ways, then it makes it more acceptable for us to charge them quite a bit more for using platform."
  • Facebook says today's released documents are "only part of the story and are presented in a way that is very misleading without additional context," adding "The facts are clear: We've never sold people's data."
