Germany indicates that it could drop its opposition to eurozone bonds, a banking union and other ideas if EU governments agree to give up more sovereignty to Europe, the WSJ reports. Germany is "willing to play ball" in a grand design, an official says; however, Angela Merkel is still publicly objecting to eurobonds.

Germany cannot save the Euro_Periphery but the latter can and will if Germany is irresolute consume and destroy Germanic Europe.
If Germany uses appeasement to placate moral blackmailers it will not be considered generous but weak and vulnerable.....and will be plundered repeatedly by the economic criminals and financial thugs that now rule the Euro_Periphery and indeed France as well.

Grand Central Planning with so-called Masterminds. This can only end well.
Why don't they listen to Milton and free their pathetic economy's from the stranglehold of the all-powerful sovereign?
Btw euro bonds sound like MBS, several tranches defaulting could blow up the whole thing.

Just found this update on the German government deliberations on this question. This video should clarify the decision-making process.
