eBay (EBAY +0.5%) could be contemplating a major change to its fee structure if its history of conducting a survey in advance of rolling out a new feature is repeated. A recent survey asked sellers how they would react to different scenarios under a free-listing model, compared to the insertion fee format where they may pay eBay a smaller portion of their sales proceeds.

    Ah, desperation is setting in. Having pumped all that hot air into the first quarter, they now find there is little left to inflate the second quarter. What a shame it is ...

    Reported increases in sales figures and earnings, and rapid growth in Paypal business is not hot air. The hot air is coming from those who are betting on Ebay not doing well (selling short) trying to turn their potential loss around.

    Pathetic, eBay really should pay their shills more than a farthing per post, then they might be able get some competent lobbyists that can actually leave an impression.
