Vale (NYSE:VALE) is optimistic that it will overcome political obstacles and cost overrun risks that prompted re-evaluation of a $3B potash project in Argentina, Vale's head of fertilizers says. The concession for the Rio Colorado potash project was suspended last year when the provincial government of Mendoza accused Vale of failing to comply with local labor laws.
