Oracle (ORCL) continues its social media software M&A spree by acquiring Collective Intellect, a developer of cloud-based tools that allow companies to monitor and respond to Facebook/Twitter conversations. The deal comes shortly after Oracle reached a deal to buy social media marketing firm Vitrue, and just a day after Salesforce.com (CRM) made its purchase of Vitrue rival Buddy Media, which Oracle took a look at, official.
