"What are a [former] senator and governor doing on Chesapeake's (CHK) board?" Doug McIntyre asks, citing a lack of credentials to serve as public company directors as reasons why they should be sacked. But CHK's “issues with debt, liquidity, cash flow and low commodity prices aren’t going to go away just because they’re changing the board," Argus' Philip Weiss reminds.

Both Frank Keating and Don Nickles have background in the oil and gas business. Keating's family was in the oil & gas E&P business. Nickles was in the service business, in addition to being from an area that was an historically prolific production area (home to both Conoco and Phillips). I assume the have also provided both guidance and political connections in regard to goverbnment and regulatory concerns. What is Doug McIntyre doing raising questions without back up facts?
