A short-seller agitating for positive change at a target company? In an odd twist, Green Mountain (GMCR) short-seller Daniel Yu of LongShortTrader joins other critics complaining of GMCR's poor sales forecasts, lack of explanations and poor cash flow management. He says he's been shorting the shares since it was $110, "but at this point it's not about the money, it's about the other people who are invested in it and are going to get hurt...I just want people to see what I'm seeing."

The Rottweiler comes back into the house carrying the fine wool coat of one of the sheep he'd killed out in the pasture that day. With the look of innocence that asked why they hadn't put a stronger fence around them in order to keep them safe, he drops it at their feet. At least they have a new rug they can use.

The dog will be hungry again tomorrow.

REPLY: Really? Do you actually think there is a dearth of information, cautions and warnings about this stock?

Does anyone think there is any investor out there who has not already seen a hundred or more hand-wringing criticisms of this company's management and indictments of this stock over the past month?

OK! We get it already. GMCR is risky, and may lose more value. Fine! Understood! Don't forget that many investors bought in on the decline last month anticipating a bounce to the $45 - $50 level forecast by several professional analysts.

Why are you folks piling on with more hand-wringing (but no new information) unless you are attempting to drive the stock share price down further -- for your own purposes -- by continuing to pound on it with repetitive and redundant warnings.

Don't give us this magnanimous "...I just want people to see what I'm seeing" nonsense. No you don't. You see a profit potential from not-to-subtle manipulation.

If there was any new information in all of these "chicken little" statements (there is not), that would be one thing. But all of this daily harping, and repeating the same 'the sky is falling' warnings appears very much like manipulation to me (and probaly the S.E.C. as well). And if anyone is not aware .... THAT'S illegal!

    Get on with your life!

Those short sellers are such nice people trying to warn honest folks about impending fall. They should have told me 9 months ago about the coal and NG sector...
