A bright note for retail? More (16% of consumers) plan to start holiday shopping on Black Friday - the day after Thanksgiving that kicks off the retailers' favorite season - than the 10% of the past two years. So says a survey from the International Council of Shopping Centers and Goldman Sachs.

    Well if GS says it, it must or will be so soon. Must have nothing to do with more people needing better deals to deliver a Christmas for their families this year could it. Black Friday is for deal shoppers - not the type you actually make money on.
