Score one for the NASDAQ, after Kraft Foods (KFT) decides to list shares on the exchange beginning on June 26 in advance of its spinoff. Eventually, both Mondelez International (MDLZ) and Kraft Foods Group (KRFT) will trade on the NASDAQ and the symbol KFT will go to the ticker graveyard.

Bloomberg reports KFT will remain ... "Kraft will retain its KFT ticker symbol" I think this is important. No one likes that much change.

Referring to Kraft, "At the time of the spin-off .... the company's common stock will trade under the symbol MDLZ. Concurrently, the North American grocery business will be spun off to form a new company, Kraft Foods Group, Inc., whose common stock will trade under the symbol KRFT. The symbol KFT will be retired at that time. Until the spin-off, however, the name and stock trading symbol for the company will remain Kraft Foods Inc. and KFT, respectively." So I guess earlier reports were wrong, and the writer is correct.
