Amazon's (AMZN) Appstore for Android, currently available only to U.S. consumers, will be hitting Europe this summer, sources tell AllThingsD's Tricia Duryee. This leads her to wonder if Amazon is also planning to take the Kindle Fire international - the Fire's U.S. sales have slumped after a hot start. The Appstore is proving popular with developers as an alternative to Google Play, as Amazon translates its huge database of credit-card numbers into superior per-user monetization.
