Canaccord Genuity takes a shine to Goodyear Tire (GT +0.8%) with prices for rubber looking set to decline on global oversupply. Previously, the company says that it expects commodity costs to increase 12% in Q2 and 9% for the year, an estimate that looks ripe for a revision.

    Winged Foot will throw away cost savings from lower rubber prices by selling tires at deep discount to grey market tire trade in Dubai & Singapore; only for these tires to turn around & go back to Goodyear's original markets (port of original export) in Europe and USA

    by the way, Goodyear is going around banking circles in Singapore HAT IN HAND trying to get working capital loans; to no avail
