Apache's (APA -1.8%) planned startup of its Kitimat liquefied natural gas project in western Canada will be delayed a year as the company continues to look for firm contracts with buyers in Asia. APA’s proposed plant, which it owns with Encana (ECA) and EOG Resources (EOG), would be the first in line to ship large quantities of LNG to Asia.
