Global TV shipments fell nearly 8% Y/Y in Q1, estimates DisplaySearch, as firmer pricing hurt volumes, and consumers directed a greater chunk of their electronics spending at mobile devices. LCD shipments fell 3%, while plasma shipments tumbled 18%. Samsung (SSNLF.PK) claimed a 26% share of the market, and was followed by LG (14.6%) and Sony (SNE - 9.4%).
