Sources say Google (GOOG) is in advanced talks to buy Yelp, a review site for local businesses, for $500M or more. Yelp, founded in 2004 by two PayPal veterans, dominates the market for local business listings and ads in big U.S. cities. For $300-1,000/month, business can have their ads appear at the top of search results and on profile pages of their rivals.
