A deal for Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) to fully acquire Corona maker Grupo Modelo would draw the attention of regulators and most likely force a divestment of assets by the global brewer. While the combined company would hold over 52% of the U.S. beer market, the real sticking point is Modelo's outsized market share in the states of California, Texas, Arizona, and New York - where antitrust objections could be raised.
