The U.S. requests the WTO set up a dispute settlement panel to examine China's export rules on rare earth minerals tungsten and molybdenum. Current export rules allow China to affect global supply and pricing, giving advantage to China's downstream producers and forcing foreign producers to move their operations to China, the U.S. says.

    Well DUH!

     

    Regulations have made it all but impossible to mine for those minerals in the US, and US and Euro companies stood by while China was busy buying 3/4 of the world supply in Africa etc., and now they are whining.
