Comcast's (CMCSA) NBCUniversal plans to directly challenge Disney's (DIS) ESPN at the beginning of the year when its Versus network officially becomes NBC Sports Network, but the rebranding of the network as the go-to sports destination starts late next month with coverage of the London Summer Olympics. The NBC network, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, and Telemundo will share coverage, with the new NBC Sports Network brand expected to be heavily promoted.
