Calling last year's performance (50% decline in his Advantage Plus fund) an "aberration," John Paulson tells his investors he's learned from his mistakes (fund is down just 10% through May). For now, his big bet remains with gold miners (AU, GFI), as he insists they're way undervalued vs. the metal.

The only way your are going to see mines explode is, [as I've said previously] is to drop some TNT down the mineshaft.

Buy the physical, or the ETF's, and when the market moves up heavily make ready to sell ALL ETF's and put the money in bullion for the long term.

I am totally convinced, that big trouble is afoot, and the fuse has already been burning for quite some time, dampened by the NGM's who have myriad tools to stop it for a while. It being total financial system malfunction.

Ask you self the question I have asked many times. "Which would you keep if I put a one ounce gold eagle in one of your hands, and the equivalent in your favorite currency, [like the US$] in the other?

Your answer determines what you believe the future holds for us economically.

I say, we will always need fiat currency, it is simply what it will buy is the factor. I know this, buying power of gold will be there, and the worse your currency does, the more gold will buy.

    Arguments please.

This guy Paulson has 17,310,952 shares of GLD (see SEC filing: ) because he thought 2012 inflation would hit double digits and gold would be trading at $4,000( and he feels gold miners are his only problem?
