Book values at MFA Financial (MFA), Invesco (IVR), Two Harbors (TWO), and Dynex (DX) could end up stronger than estimates, says Sterne Agee, as non-agency MBS are performing better than would be suggested by the ABX/CMBX indexes. Assisting in demand for the paper are new bank capital proposals allowing less reliance on credit ratings and more on performance.

    Hi-yield bonds had a positive comment from Moodys. They mentioned that default rates have maintained a below average rate. This is pushing up all hi-yield investments.
