Hollywood studios could see a boost in revenue in China after nearly being frozen out in the past with a new streaming service that is set to launch in China later this year run by state-owned China Movie Channel. Although it can be expected that the titles made available to consumers in the nation will be closely monitored - for DIS, LGF, VIAB, SNE, TWX, and CMCSA - a cut of something is better than a cut of nothing. Left on the outside looking in: NFLX.

I live and work in China. I wouldn't put too much credence in this being a successful endeavor. Why would I or anyone else buy something that can be steamed in via the internet for free? Or, purchase a pirated DVD of whatever I want for around a dollar. Until China gets tough on issues like this forget about it.
