Cheniere Energy (LNG +5%), the first company to win approval to export natural gas from the continental U.S., plans to complete up to $4B of financing to build liquefaction units for its Sabine Pass facility in the next few days, CEO Charif Souki says. Overseas firms already have agreed to buy a combined 16M tons/year from Sabine Pass, LNG says.

    This is good to see. The CEO is to be commended and as a shareholder I am optimistic that he will not only get the financing in order but the next announcement will be that they are breaking ground and will be ahead of schedule for completion of the first two trains!
