The expiration of stock-sale lockups for Ampio Pharmaceuticals' (AMPE +7%) executives and insiders - due at the end of June and in mid-July - just happens to coincide with the stock's recent run up. The Street's Adam Feuerstein is calling shenanigans on the company, accusing the company of fueling a promotional blitz in an effort to pump up the price for the benefit of insiders.

The article on this website, by Mr. Cavalli, certainly was fuel for the AMPE fire.

If shenanigans is called on the company, then shenanigans must be called on Seeking Alpha and Mr. Cavalli for the article that drove AMPE up considerably.

Is there an obscure SEC law that covers shenanigans?

So, as they say, there is always a silver lining. I know many of us were gravely disappointed in the Supreme Court decision regarding ObamaCare; however, as an investor in Ampio Pharmaceuticals, I see this as cause for great celebration as AMPE is in an opportune place with big drugs and solutions to help eliminate many future surgeries and hospitalization.

For example ~ Ampion, the Knee shot will be a far less costly alternative than “knee replacement” which is sure to be the way the government and internal medicine will want to go. This company has made great and timely decisions and taken necessary steps to maximize patent time tables which shows their strong commitment not just to the drugs they will bring to market but also to the profitability that they will bring to each and every share holder with their unparalleled attention to details!

Not sure about the "Knee Shot", but after three years of injections and therapy, the only answer to my knee issue was a partial replacement. No government involved, no internal medicine doctors involved either. My orthopedic surgeon developed the knee component and did the surgery, much to my satisfaction. Surgery number six was the charm! Total knee replacement will occur down the road, but for now, I can walk without pain.

Not seeing the silver lining with this company at this point. If the reports on thestreet.com are true, someone could be going to jail.

Dr. Bar-Or has his medical license, his patents, his family name to protect. His brother and son, one a doctor, the other a medical researcher, are all willing to go to prison if this is all pump-and-dump and nothing behind it? I think not. Look at the peer-reviewed journal articles that Bar-Or and his brother have authored. There is evidence behind what they say. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait.

Adam Feuerenstein has an axe to grind. He's written 3 poisonous pieces against this company. Nobody else has said one negative thing about AMPE.
Problem is, he doesn't have anything substantial beyond his own personal gripe.
The drugs in the Ampio pipeline - now in phase 3, speak much louder.

He will soon be seen for the fool he is.
