Coal stocks (KOL +1.7%) are making a comeback, adding to Tuesday's sharp gains as strong foreign demand for coal raises prospects for the industry. Patriot Coal (PCX +38%) has jumped more than 80% in the last three trading sessions, but shares are still only one-tenth of their 52-week high. JRCC +19.1%, ANR +3.8%, ACI +2.7%, BTU +1%.

Obama already crushed them the last year. PCX was $25 a year ago, now it's $2.50. JRCC was $22.00 and now it's $3.75. ACI (my favorite) was high 30's and is now $7.50, and ANR was close to $50 and is now $9.50. Obama can't control EU coal use, and its cheaper than NG, so hopefully coal stock prices will get to at least half of lasts years highs.

Hey people, did you hear sen rockefeller on the senate floor downing coal and said its time for wv. to get diversefied instead of using coal?He must not be running again.I was appaled at this and when sen. boxer of california said this is what we need a sen. with courage.(sen. rockefeller) We need jobs in wv.,not courageous speeches.Coal burning power plants just got more regulations on them ,thanks to sen. boxer and sen. rockefeller.s vote.WVirginians remember this vote against our state, and against us hard working coal miners.
