ISI's Brian Marshall is the latest to voice concerns about the impact of cloud infrastructure platforms on enterprise storage vendors such as EMC, IBM, NTAP, DELL, and HPQ. Marshall thinks Amazon's (AMZN) S3 storage service, which runs on home-grown commodity gear, might generate $800M in annual revenue, and (together with solutions from Google and others) poses a threat to the $23B market for low-end enterprise storage.     It isn't as important as to where you store the data, as it is what you do with the data.
    And for that, customers will turn to IBM.
