Wells Fargo (WFC) is likely to post the strongest Q2 earnings from amongst the big banks, opines Credit Suisse. Wells is the giant in the increasingly profitable U.S. mortgage market, and there's a refinancing boom underway, courtesy of the newly-revised HARP.

Wells continues to have the reputation of being one of the best managed US banks. It should be expected that this would show up in strong earnings. As a stockholder, I am looking forward to Wells' dividend getting back to at least what it was in late 2008 (.34/share per quarter). Hopefully, earnings and regulations on the banks will permit Wells to increase its dividend at a steadier and swifter pace.
