YEAH, coal never hurt anyone!.....unless you're counting thousands of miners dying of black-lung, children being born with birth defects from coal-derived mercury-poisoning, 13,000 people a year that are believed to die in the US from particle pollution (per those radicals at the American Lung Association), and on and on. I believe it was the EPA that mandated the controls on coal-related pollution, not Obama. Yes, Obama could have placed in charge of the EPA an individual such as Jeffrey Holmstead, currently a pro-coal lobbyist on K-Street and the former head of that organization under the Bush administration. Fortunately he put in charge someone with the independence of mind to let the facts on coal speak for themselves. They ain't pretty.

Bankrupting coal companies is just one of Obama's many ways to increase govt dependency.

As Obama destroys the private sector, he declares it's "doing fine."
