Is Google (GOOG) looking to expand its last-mile fiber network beyond a Kansas City testbed? Capstone noticed Google has a job opening on LinkedIn for selling Google Fiber services to small businesses through a nationwide network. A nationwide solution (even if focused on major metro areas) would require billions in capex, but Larry Page has indicated a willingness to make big, costly bets.

    Google has been buying fiber since 2005.

     

    A 'nationwide solution' may not cost as much as you think considering what it has already accumulated.
