Some more "leaked" images arrive purporting to depict future Apple (AAPL) hardware. Images of the next iPhone show a device with a larger display and smaller dock connector, in-line with earlier rumors. Meanwhile, schematics for the iPad Mini suggest the tablet will be 7.87" tall and 5.3" wide, and be as thin as an iPod Touch.

Smaller dock connector? So will my current car charger and extra usb chargers not work on the new phone then?

you will probably just need a different USB cable (with the small connector on the other end).

Will it come with the phone.. I'm pretty sick of these companies (not just apple all companies) doing crappy stuff like this. I have probably 30-40 different types of cords in my house... yet somehow my printer cable is universal I have yet to find another printer that doesn't work with it...

Of course the new phone will come with a new cable! I get so tired of hearing all this from people... Like they won't include the new cable that is specific to the phone... If you have updated your charger in the last 2 years you most likely have a USB connector that you plug the charging cable into (just like they provide in the box for the home charger, only for the car charging port). If you have not, it is time for you to get a new charger anyway!

    no no no

You misunderstand, i was asking if the adapter would come with the phone so my 6 other charging cords from earlier gens would work.

I'm tired of people mis-reading then ranting like they know what they are talking about!!! (sarcasm obviously)

I wonder what happened to that patent on charging pad technology... should we even need charging cables anymore?

Until they switch to a micro usb plug, apple will continue to rake in the overpriced accessories from the fanatics. You shouldn't have to pay for a second charger to use at work/home. I would say 90%+ electonics have a micro usb, from cameras to camcorders, and so on.
