Sprint (S) officially launches its 4G LTE network. 15 metro areas are covered, including Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and Kansas City. Sprint is still aiming to have its LTE buildout "largely completed" by the end of 2013. With Samsung's Galaxy S III and most other high-end Android phones now supporting LTE (but not Sprint's WIMAX 4G network), and the next iPhone expected to do the same, time is of the essence for Sprint.
