PepsiCo (PEP -1.1%) plans to launch a new Malt-flavored version of Mountain Dew called Johnson City Gold at select Kroger and 7-Eleven stores in the U.S this summer. The beverage will be priced at $1.49 for a 16-ouncer and will be aimed at taking market share away from a similar product offered up by Monster Beverage (MNST -0.3%).
