Pimco's Total Return ETF (BOND) hits $2B in assets less than 5 months after its launch, with returns (7.7% vs. 4.2%) trouncing its big brother, the $263B Total Return Fund. Clearly, the ETF's smaller size is allowing manager Bill Gross to do the sort of open-field running he made his bones with as a younger man.
