IDT (DTI) is buying rival NXP's (NXPI) data converter chip product lines, as well as Alvand Technologies, a privately-owned developer of data converter IP. IDT boasts the moves will allow it become a "one-stop shop" for mobile base station chips. Separately, IDT is announcing it plans to spin off its IP licensing subsidiary, Innovative Communications Technologies (ICTI), to shareholders.
