Few specifics are available, but Microsoft (MSFT) and Amazon (AMZN) reach a patent cross-licensing agreement in which Amazon will be able to use Linux-based software in its Kindle and servers, and Microsoft will gain access to some Amazon patents. (PR)

    This is nothing more than a shakedown. Microsoft claims that Linux infringes on certain patents but won't disclose which patents. Then it proceeds to shakedown any business that uses Linux. WHAT A JOKE! And the government lets Microsoft get away with pure unadulterated obvious extortion, not to mention monopoly.
