Apollo Global Management (APO) and Canada's Linamar have bid $825M in the second round of an auction for Metaldyne, a maker of engine components owned by Carlyle Group (CG), Bloomberg reported yesterday. The speculation came a day after news that Carlyle is selling up to $738M in shares of China Pacific Insurance.
