Comcast (CMCSA) goes after "really advanced digital families" willing to pay top dollar for the fastest Internet speeds, introducing a $299.95/month service it says beats Verizon's (VZ) speediest service. The new Xfinity Platinum offers download speeds of up to 305 megabits/second; VZ's FiOS, which relies on fiber-optic lines, introduced a plan in June that tops out at 300 megabits for $204.99/month.
