Nice catchy headline but in actuality the dividend did not increase. The comparison was with a previous split dividend where with the previous amount paid to it totaled the same current announcement of $.525.

Their website explains the payment amounts.

Editor please note: This much of an increase for a utility stock should have been checked out before posting misleading news.

This information is misleading at best. The dividend is the same as it has been for a number of quarters. Last quarter there was a split-dividend due to the Constellation Energy acquisition - management made it clear that they understood shareholders desire to keep the dividend at $0.525. The second divvie installment last quarter was $0.37925. There is no increase in EXC's dividend.

    Regards, Moses

Are these releases not checked by anyone at all? As others have explained above, the regular quarterly dividend of $0.525 has not changed.
