It better be more than a quarter point cut on Thursday, writes Ambrose Evans-Pritchard of the ECB policy meeting after Mario Draghi "promised the moon." European markets are up 8% or more since Draghi's comments on Thursday. A failure to deliver on his pledge could be a disaster.

    Where is all this going?

Fed's considering negative interest rate policy (NIRP) and central banks around the world are cutting simultaneously.

Is this the beginning of a hyperinflationary event?

    "Where is all this going?"

In the case of Europe, it's going nowhere.

    Gentlemen,

Social security was born in the depths of the Great Depression. Just one example.

Europe is moving towards a Federal model. Progress is incremental and you may not like that, but if you expecting Armageddon, you will be sorely disappointed and your investments will perform accordingly.

You gotta be kidding me. The Europeans already have incredibly generous benefits both medical and pension-wise. That is part of their problem! They can't afford it (at least the periphery). Seriously, assuming you weren't being sarcastic, what progress are you talking about in Europe?
