Chipotle (CMG -0.4%) continues to push its commitment to serve locally produced produce, saying it will use vegetables grown within 350 miles at a good bulk of its restaurants. The inevitable slowdown in same-store sales at the restaurant chain has some analysts calling for the company to further differentiate itself from Taco Bell and its brand-new Cantina bell menu.

Well done Chipotle. Not only will everyone get great tasting vegetables, but the local farming community benefits and Chipotle's carbon footprint gets greatly reduced. Surely a win/win situation that is already succeeding in Europe especially in the supermarkets.
