Enbridge (ENB -1.8%) shares have been trading near 30-year highs despite criticism over oil spills and delays in new crude routes. ENB has consistently delivered 10% annual growth in earnings and dividends, but the liquids pipelines that have been driving growth are "unlikely to be available in coming years," says an analyst at Vertias, which rates ENB as a Sell.

    I am an elderly senior playing the market. Common accepted wisdom says that at my age you should buy bonds, not speculate with common shares. Of course this advice guarantees losses.
