The private-equity group bidding for SkillSoft (SKIL) has raised its cash offer for the e-learning software maker to $1.2B, or $11.25/share. On Feb. 12, SkillSoft agreed to be acquired by the consortium, which calls itself SSI Investments III Ltd., for $1.1B, but investors thought the offer undervalued the company. SKIL +7.6% premarket.
