Swarms of buyers flocked to the stores over the weekend for the iPad (AAPL +0.1%), but few stores sold out. A Piper Jaffray analyst more than doubled his initial first-day sales estimate and lifted his 2010 forecast to 5.5M units from 2.8M. On Friday, iSuppli predicted that 7.1M will sell this year. Consensus looks to be around 5M.
