Frontier Communications (FTR +11.7%) is staging a post-earnings rally, as investors focus on healthy free cash flow and broadband/TV net adds rather than expected wireline sub losses. Nomura (Buy) is hiking its 2012 revenue forecast. Jefferies (Buy) notes Frontier's adjusted EBITDA margin hit a near-term high of 49.3%, and argues its dividend payout ratio will likely stay above 50% for several years (Frontier's current yield is 9.1%). Also up: CTL +2.2%. WIN +1.4%. (transcript)

Let me know when Morningstar's number 1-rated (for forecasting accuracy) Utility Forecaster (edited by Roger Conrad) changes its "sell" advise on Frontier Communications to either "hold" or "buy." At that time, and no earlier, I will uncork a bottle of cheap California wine and toast the pitiful remains (Frontier Communications) of a once-proud company (Citizens Utilities) that held an "A++" rating from Value Line Investment Survey for "financial security."
