If I understand this correctly,Ruger beat earnings estimates while being closed during the month of April. How much could they have beaten earnings if they were in full swing in the month of April. That being said I think there are several catalysts that could increase Rugers sales in the upcoming months.Number 1,the ever so important presidential election:Obama is against gun ownership, and the mere thought of Obama being elected encourages customers to purchase guns before there is possible unfavorable gun ownership laws being discussed. If Romney is elected, its safe to assume he would be in favor of increased military spending and thus this would benefit Ruger and other gun makers who supply our troops with the necessary armament. Number 2,the ever impending 12/21/12 "end of the world" beliefs that some may believe are going to come to fruition.Whether you accept this hypothesis or not, there are those who assume that the end is near and they want sufficient protection against such an occurrence.Number 3:with the price of food (especially meats) possibly going higher due to this summers drought, nimrods may be out in force to fill the freezer, therefore accelerating hunting weapons sales.Number 4:a recent ruling by the supreme court could make it much easier in acquiring a carry permit,(this is currently under debate in my state,Maryland. As of August 7th,unless the attorney general in Md gets his wish, the process of getting a permit to carry will much less tedious)These are just a few of many reasons to suggest Ruger's sales will be accelerating.Aim high with this stock!
