At long last, Research In Motion (RIMM -1.4%) introduces a 4G version of its PlayBook tablet. The 7" device will be sold by Canadian carriers starting on Aug. 9, before making its way elsewhere. RIM shipped a mere 260K PlayBooks in its May quarter, barely half as many as were shipped in the February quarter. (previous)

    Does not matter any more what RIM does. The game for them is over. They lost all credibility.

    In my old age my eyesight is going. Seven inches is too small (that's what she said)!! I wouldn't mind a ten inch version of the electronic thingies.

    Someone called Bell Canada & was told $250 with contract and $500 to buy the PB outright.

    I see the 4G device for enterprise, wifi PlayBook will appeal to consumers if they are a Blackberry user since there are huge benefits with the bridge app.
